Protect Your Tankless Heater with EasyWater
With the promises of endless hot water, gas conservation, and ultimately, cost savings, it’s easy to understand why tankless water heaters are so popular with homeowners and businesses. However, what most consumers aren't aware of are the potential hard water buildup problems that can occur inside the heat exchangers of tankless water heaters.

Fortunately, there is good news. As tests show, FREIJE EasyWater is your best and only proven solution to ensuring success with any tankless water heater system or water appliances in a home.

Rinnai America Corporation Test Results for FREIJE Descaling Technology

Rinnai Corporation, the largest manufacturer in the world of gas appliances and tankless water heaters, set out through Rinnai America Corporation to find a solution to hard water scale deposits in their tankless water heaters. Salt water softeners helped but were not the answer because they only reduced scale buildup but did not eliminate it. Thanks to FREIJE Treatment Systems, a total solution was found.

Rinnai conducted field tests with FREIJE Descaling Technology on actual tankless water heaters operating at 150°F to 185°F in San Angelo, TX (which has some of the hardest water in the United States). These sites in San Angelo were chosen because of their history with heat exchanger failures due to hard water scale deposits.

At the conclusion of the test, all of the test heaters were inspected and were found to be free from scale deposits. The photo to the right shows a heat exchanger tube cut long ways from the 185°F test heater. This was the most scale prone of the test sites since it was at the highest temperature, but at the end of the test absolutely no scale deposits had formed. In the past, this same heater had been inoperable due to scale deposits after a fraction of the test period. This was the final proof needed for Rinnai to recommend FREIJE EasyWater Systems for residential applications and FREIJE Series E Treatment Systems for commercial applications to eliminate scale deposits.

Unlike any other product on the market, Rinnai found that the FREIJE Systems can eliminate scale buildup in tankless water heaters and will even remove existing buildup in most water scenarios.

FREIJE EasyWater is your proven solution for ensuring success with tankless water heaters and other water appliances in your home.

Which system is right for me?
Water hardness levels will fluctuate up to 5 grains depending on weather and water supply. Though the EasyWater 1000 can treat up to 20 grains per gallon (gpg), if your hardness is between 17 and 20 grains, we recommend the EasyWater 2000 to handle fluctuations in your hardness and guarantee best results.

There are things to consider when deciding whether the EasyWater 1000 or 2000 System is best for your home and hard water situation. Installed EasyWater 1000 System:

  • The pipe size of your incoming cold water main is a major factor when deciding between the EasyWater 1000 and 2000. Most homes have 3/4" or 1" plumbing inside their homes, but more homes today are being built with 1-1/4" and larger. If your cold water main is 1-1/4" the EasyWater 2000 System is right for you.
  • The Total Hardness of your water is another important factor when deciding between the EasyWater 1000 and 2000 System. The EasyWater 1000 System is extremely effective in hard water situations up to 20 grains per gallon or 427mg/l or ppm and is guaranteed to eliminate new scale buildup in water appliances and also remove any existing scale. The EasyWater 2000 System is recommended for homes with 3/4" to 1 1/4" plumbing that have water over 20 grains. The EasyWater 2000 System successfully treats many homes with water over 100 grains per gallon!!
